✨ A little reminder from my biggest teacher... ✨
As a practitioner, I spend my days helping others achieve better health. But one of my greatest reminders about what truly matters comes from my little boy, Liam.
Children have an incredible way of living in the moment. They remind us to laugh a little louder, play a little longer, and find joy in the simple things. ❤️
Watching Liam grow has reinforced something I share with my patients every day: health isn't just about blood tests, supplements or prescriptions. It's also about a regulated nervous system, meaningful connection, good sleep, nourishing food, movement, fresh air, and making time for the people who fill your cup.
Sometimes our greatest medicine is slowing down enough to appreciate the little moments.
What has a child in your life taught you? I'd love to hear in the comments. 💚

✨ Women Can Achieve Anything in This World... Except Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Iron Deficiency ✨
You can run a business. You can raise a family. You can manage a household. You can care for everyone around you.
But if your Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, or Iron levels are low...
😴 Getting through the day can feel like climbing a mountain. 🧠 Brain fog becomes your constant companion. 💇♀️ Your hair may start thinning. 😩 Motivation disappears. 💔 Anxiety and low mood creep in. 🛌 Even after a full night's sleep, you're still exhausted.
Many women assume these symptoms are "just stress," "just getting older," or "just being a busy mom."
Often, the answer may be hiding in your blood work.
Before blaming yourself for being tired, overwhelmed, forgetful, or unmotivated, consider checking:
☀️ Vitamin D 🩸 Iron & Ferritin 💊 Vitamin B12
Sometimes your body isn't lacking willpower—it's lacking nutrients.
🌿 When we address the foundations of health, everything else becomes a little easier.
Have you ever discovered that a nutrient deficiency was behind how you were feeling?

🌸 Which Stage of Menopause Are You In? 🌸
Many women are surprised to learn that menopause is actually a journey with different stages—each bringing its own changes, challenges, and opportunities to support your health.
✨ 1. PERIMENOPAUSE The transition phase leading up to menopause.
Common symptoms: • Irregular periods • Mood swings • Anxiety or irritability • Fatigue • Weight gain • Sleep disturbances • Heavy or unpredictable bleeding
Typically begins in your 40s, but can start earlier.
✨ 2. MENOPAUSE Officially diagnosed when you have gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period.
Common symptoms: • Hot flushes • Night sweats • Vaginal dryness • Reduced libido • Brain fog • Joint aches • Sleep problems
✨ 3. POSTMENOPAUSE The years following menopause.
While hot flushes may improve, women may experience: • Reduced bone density • Changes in cholesterol levels • Urinary symptoms • Dry skin and hair • Ongoing energy or mood changes
The good news? You don't have to "just live with it."
🌿 With the right support, many women find they can improve their energy, mood, sleep, hormone balance, and overall quality of life.

👁️ Brown Pigments in the Iris & the MTHFR Gene: Is There a Connection?
One of the most common questions I receive during an iridology assessment is:
"What do these brown pigments in my eyes mean?"
From an iridology perspective, brown or orange-brown pigments are often associated with areas where the body may benefit from additional support for detoxification, nutrient metabolism, and biochemical balance.
Interestingly, many patients who present with significant brown pigmentation in the iris also report having variations in the MTHFR gene.
The MTHFR gene plays a role in: 🧬 Methylation 🧬 Detoxification pathways 🧬 Neurotransmitter production 🧬 Hormone metabolism 🧬 DNA repair
When methylation pathways are less efficient, some individuals may experience symptoms such as: ✨ Fatigue ✨ Anxiety or low mood ✨ Hormonal imbalances ✨ Headaches ✨ Brain fog ✨ Sensitivity to medications and chemicals
While iridology cannot diagnose an MTHFR mutation, iris markings may provide clues that encourage us to investigate further and consider appropriate testing where indicated.
The iris offers a fascinating window into the body's constitution and inherited tendencies, helping us create a more individualized wellness plan.
👁️ Have you ever had an iridology assessment? What did you learn about your health?

🌿 Ever Wondered What Your Homeopath Does in Her Spare Time? 🌿
While I love helping my patients achieve better health, my life doesn't revolve around consultations alone!
When I'm not in practice, you'll usually find me:
🌱 Tending to my garden and enjoying time outdoors ☕ Enjoying a good cup of coffee 📚 Learning and researching new ways to support my patients 🏃♀️ Exercising to keep my body and mind healthy 👨👩👦 Spending quality time with my family 🐱 Being entertained by my cats and all their antics 💚 Practising the same healthy habits I encourage my patients to embrace
As healthcare practitioners, we're human too.
We need time to recharge, connect with loved ones, laugh, learn, and enjoy life's simple pleasures.
I believe that living a balanced life helps me show up as the best version of myself for my patients.
Tell me—what do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I'd love to hear from you in the comments! 😊

Healing starts with being heard.
Healing doesn’t start with a prescription, a protocol, or a diagnosis.
It starts with being heard.
Truly heard.
Not rushed. Not dismissed. Not told “it’s normal” when your body is clearly asking for help.
So many patients arrive in my practice not because they haven’t tried to heal… but because no one has slowed down long enough to listen to the full story.
Your symptoms are not random. Your body is not dramatic. Your experience is not “just in your head.”
When someone finally listens, something shifts: ✨ the nervous system settles ✨ the body softens out of protection mode ✨ clarity begins to emerge ✨ healing becomes possible again
Because the body cannot heal in an environment where it does not feel safe or acknowledged.
Being heard is not the whole treatment… but it is often the first real medicine.
And from there, we can begin to understand what the body has been trying to communicate all along.

Birth control is often prescribed as a solution for “hormone balance”… but suppressing hormones is not the same as balancing them.
The contraceptive pill works primarily by overriding and suppressing your natural hormonal cycle to prevent ovulation.
This can temporarily reduce symptoms such as: • acne • irregular periods • heavy bleeding • PMS • PCOS symptoms
But in many cases, the underlying imbalance is still there beneath the surface.
When the pill is stopped, symptoms often return because the root cause was never addressed.
True hormone balance means understanding WHY the body is struggling in the first place.
Possible underlying drivers may include: ✨ insulin resistance ✨ chronic stress and cortisol dysregulation ✨ nutrient deficiencies ✨ inflammation ✨ poor detoxification ✨ thyroid dysfunction ✨ gut health imbalances ✨ estrogen dominance ✨ low progesterone
Hormones function like an orchestra — suppressing one section may quiet the noise temporarily, but it doesn’t necessarily restore harmony.
This doesn’t mean birth control is “bad” or that women should never use it. For some, it serves an important purpose.
But women deserve informed choices and deeper conversations about what real hormonal healing can look like.
Supporting the body naturally may include: 🌿 nutrition 🌿 blood sugar regulation 🌿 nervous system support 🌿 liver support 🌿 mineral replenishment 🌿 cycle tracking 🌿 targeted supplementation 🌿 constitutional treatment
Your symptoms are information, not inconveniences to silence.

Vitamin D deficiency is far more common than most people realise — especially in those who spend long hours indoors, experience chronic stress, or have underlying gut or hormone imbalances.
Here are 3 common signs your body may be low in vitamin D:
1️⃣ Fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest.
You sleep, you rest… but still feel drained. Vitamin D plays a key role in energy production and mitochondrial function.
2️⃣ Low mood or seasonal dips in emotional wellbeing.
Vitamin D is closely linked to brain health and serotonin regulation. Low levels are often seen alongside anxiety, irritability, or low mood.
3️⃣ Frequent infections or slow immune recovery
If you pick up every cold going around or take longer than usual to recover, your immune system may be under-supported.
Vitamin D is not just a “vitamin” — it acts more like a hormone, influencing immunity, mood, bones, and inflammation.
Supporting healthy levels may include:
🌿 safe sunlight exposure
🌿 dietary sources like egg yolk, oily fish, and liver
🌿 correcting gut absorption issues
🌿 supplementation when clinically indicated

Transversals in the iris are considered congestion signs in Iridology.
These markings appear as lines crossing through the iris fibres and are often interpreted as areas where normal fibre structure has become disrupted due to chronic congestion, stagnation, or irritation within the body.
In Iridology, transversals may indicate: • lymphatic congestion • toxic overload • sluggish elimination • chronic inflammatory tendencies • nerve irritation passing through an organ area • long-standing strain within a specific system
The meaning of a transversal also depends on where it appears in the iris map.
For example: ✨ digestive areas may point toward gut congestion or poor assimilation ✨ spinal areas may reflect chronic tension or irritation ✨ glandular zones may show endocrine burden or sluggishness
These signs are not viewed as a diagnosis, but rather as indicators of constitutional weakness and areas that may need support.
Support may include: 🌿 drainage and detoxification support 🌿 improving elimination pathways 🌿 lymphatic movement 🌿 hydration and mineral balance 🌿 reducing inflammatory load 🌿 supporting the affected organ system
The iris reflects patterns, tendencies and how the body adapts over time. Every marking tells part of the story.
