What is tennis elbow?

Tennis elbow is a painful condition affecting the tendons around the outside of the elbow. The pain is usually felt around the bony area on the outside of the elbow and may travel down into the forearm. It can become particularly painful when gripping, lifting, twisting the wrist or carrying something.

And despite the name, you don’t have to play tennis to develop tennis elbow! Repetitive movements involving the hand, wrist and forearm can contribute to the condition.
