Why an uncovered machine is NOT safe during PMU procedures
During a PMU procedure, the rapid needle motion creates microscopic splatter and fluid movement toward the cartridge opening and grip area. These fluids can travel into parts of the machine that cannot be properly disinfected.
Wiping the outside of the machine only cleans what is visible. It does NOT remove contamination inside seams, buttons, connection points, or internal crevices.
Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) - including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV - can be transmitted through contaminated equipment if proper barrier protection is not used.
Barrier protection is not optional.
It protects:

• The integrity of your business
If your machine is not fully wrapped and protected, you are not working safely.
