Yesterday reminded me why I fell in love with this industry in the first place.
It wasn’t just about hair.
It was about courage.
It was about friendship.
It was about showing up for someone when life suddenly changes.
I had the absolute privilege of welcoming a group of incredible humans into my chair. Eleven beautiful souls stood beside their friend after her breast cancer diagnosis, each taking a turn to cut or shave their own hair before helping her through one of the hardest moments she’ll ever face.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Watching her sit surrounded by so much love, laughter, tears, and unwavering support was something I’ll carry with me for a very long time. It reminded me that beauty has never been about the hair we wear—it’s about the strength we find in ourselves and the people who stand beside us when we need them most.
To my beautiful client: your bravery was nothing short of extraordinary. I have no doubt you’ll face this journey with the same grace and strength you showed today.
And to every single one of your friends and family—thank you. Thank you for showing what unconditional love looks like.
Lastly, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me to be part of such an intimate and emotional moment. It is a privilege I will never take for granted.
