Aftercare mistakes that ruin retention
🚫 using oil based products, on or near lashes. Cleaners, makeup removers/wipes, creams with oils break down lash adhesive. Causing lash extension to slip off faster.
🚫 skipping cleansing. Not washing your lashes leads to buildup of dirt, makeup and natural oils, weakening retention and causing irritation or infections.
🚫 using mascara. This creates a buildup on the extension, closing the fan and damaging the adhesive.
🚫 rubbing or touching your eyes. Friction loosens the bind and can pull extension out prematurely
🚫 not brushing your lashes. Lashes will twist and tangle falling out unevenly
🚫 heat and steam exposure. Frequent saunas, hot yoga, steamy showers can soften adhesive and reduce retention
🚫 waiting too long between fills. If you don’t maintain regular fills (2-3 weeks) shedding will look worse and retention seem poor even if it’s normal
A daily routine that includes cleaning lashes with an oil free cleanser and brushing once dry will support good retention.
Lifestyle adjustments that help retention include avoiding waterproof mascara and heavy eyeliner. Using oil free make up remover and being gentle round the eyes. Avoid oils and creams near the lash line.

Volume lashes but make it sexy 🍒
Keep in mind, that volume density is dependant on the strength of your own natural lashes. This look will not be suitable for everyone but this client had a beautiful natural lash formation to work on resulting in this amazing volume set!
