The first pillar of imaan (faith) in Islam is Belief in Allah SWT. As Muslims, we believe in Allah SWT in accordance with His beautiful names and attributes. Allah SWT has revealed His names repeatedly in the Holy Quran primarily for us to understand who He is. Learning and memorizing the names of Allah SWT will help us to identify the correct way to believe in Him. There is nothing more sacred and blessed than understanding the names of Allah and living by them. How do we expect to worship, love, be conscious of and trust our Sustainer , The Almighty Allah SWT, if we don’t know who He is?

How to recite the Asmaa-ul-Husnaa

1. When wishing to recite all the Beautiful names of Allah SWT begin by saying:
هُوَ He

ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah

ٱلَّذِىthe One Who

لَآ (there is) no

إِلَٰهَ diety

إِلَّا except  

هُوَ He

ٱلْرَّحْمَـانُ The Most Merciful

ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ The Bestower of Mercy
