For 7 years, FirstRand Volunteers have made a difference through their Keep a Girl Child in School programme. 💗 This year, Talha Essop nominated Springs High School, providing 138 girls with Palesa Pads Kickstart Flo Kits. The volunteers' time and care gave the girls confidence, freedom and a chance to focus on learning. Congratulations to Talha, winner of the 2025 SAICA Trainee Trailblazer Award.

Adults and young people alike were eager to learn more about Palesa Pads during our visit to the Alexsan Resource Centre, in partnership with the Bavuke Foundation.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bavuke Foundation for arranging this special community event and sponsoring 269 women and girls with Basic Combo Boxes, giving them long-lasting dignity, comfort and care.

Reusable pads are more than a product. They’re a practical resource, a lifeline and a reminder that every woman and girl deserves to have her needs met with dignity and respect.

"Oh, I was sceptical! I’ve always been icky about that time of the month but something about the way Sherie spoke about the experience on a panel last month just brought the science and practicality into play and once I got the mind switch, I had gusto to try and I did. It was the gentlest, most honest period I’ve ever experienced, the quick wicking away of the product and the lack of 'period smell' because it’s such a well thought out product, void of unnecessary chemicals and hormone disruptors. Best of all not being exposed to those for days puts the dignity and ownership of your period back in your hands. You can tell the product was made for women, by women. Well done team!"
