Dear SAICE Johannesburg Branch Members,

As we reflect on the SAICE Awards 2026, we do so with immense pride and gratitude.

This year, the Johannesburg Branch was honoured to receive the Commendation Award (Runner-Up). While we narrowly missed the top spot, this recognition is a testament to the incredible effort, dedication, and passion demonstrated by our members, volunteers, partners, and committee throughout the year.

When the current committee took office, we shared a common vision: to awaken the sleeping giant that is the Johannesburg Branch and restore its position as a leading voice within the engineering profession. Together, we have hosted impactful technical events, strengthened industry partnerships, created opportunities for young professionals, and increased the visibility of our branch across the SAICE community.

This achievement belongs to every member who attended an event, shared an idea, volunteered their time, supported an initiative, or represented the branch with pride. Your contribution has made a difference.

To our committee members and volunteers, thank you for the countless hours spent behind the scenes. To our sponsors, speakers, industry partners, and SAICE leadership, thank you for your continued support and belief in our vision.

While we celebrate this milestone, we also see it as motivation. We are proud of how far we have come, but we know there is still more to achieve. The foundation has been laid, the momentum is growing, and we are excited about what lies ahead.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to building on this success together and striving for even greater heights in the years to come.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making 2026 a memorable year for the Johannesburg Branch.
