Sometimes, it’s not the delay that hurts… it’s the silence after.
A message comes through.
You see it..But you’re with a client.
Or it’s your only off day.
Or you’re quickly running errands between appointments.
So you reply as soon as you can, with care, with attention, making sure to give you a proper answer.
And then…
Nothing.
No reply.
No confirmation.
No “I’ll get back to you.”
Just silence.
And later, you notice… all future bookings cancelled.
No explanation.
No conversation.
Just… gone.

👉 What many don’t realise,
Behind every message is a real person managing multiple clients, tight schedules, and very little “in-between” time.

Yes, We are Nail techs, lash techs, beauty professionals… but we’re human too.

And as a solo salon owner, there isn’t a backup team behind the scenes.
No receptionist answering messages.
No manager handling bookings.
No extra staff to fill the gaps.
It’s one person doing the treatments, the admin, the communication, the bookings, everything that keeps the salon running.

We’re not available 24/7
We’re often fully present with the client in front of us, because that’s the level of care you’d want during your own appointment.

And we also need time to rest, reset, and step away, so we can continue showing up at our best.
We’re not ignoring you. We’re working.
And when we do reply, it’s with the intention to help, to accommodate, to make a plan for you.

Communication goes both ways.
Even a simple
“I’ll confirm later” or “I’ve made another plan”..
closes the loop with respect.
Because time gets held.
Energy gets invested.
And mentally, space is made for that client and her booking.
