This Youth Month, Eeko Kleen Hub is proud to work with schools to empower young people through environmental education, tree planting, and sustainability initiatives.

But real change requires stronger support. We call on Drakenstein Municipality, Cape Winelands and stakeholders to invest in schools and youth-led sustainability programmes that create lasting impact in our communities.

This month, we honoured the legacy of the youth of 1976 not with words, but with action. 🇿🇦🌱

As we commemorate Youth Day, Eeko Kleen Hub partnered with a Desmond Mpilo Tutu High School to plant trees and engage with the school’s RCL and young leaders who carry the responsibility of shaping tomorrow.

The youth of yesterday fought for the right to be heard. The youth of today are fighting for a future worth inheriting.

Every tree planted is a commitment to cleaner communities, a healthier environment, and a legacy that will outlive us all. Real change begins when young people are empowered to lead, serve, and protect the world around them.

Today, we planted more than trees.
We planted hope.
We planted responsibility.
We planted a future.

What you see in this picture is more than just waste removed from our streets. it is proof that change is possible when people choose action over silence. Volunteers, community members, youth, and partners came together with one purpose: to restore dignity, cleanliness, and hope within our environment. Every bag collected represents teamwork, commitment, and people who refused to ignore the condition of their community.
