POLOKWANE - During cross-examination, defence attorney Lot Rammusi pressed the investigating officer on the steps taken before the matter reached him.

Rammusi argued that the applicant, Shebeshxt, repeatedly stated in his affidavit that he approached the police several times and requested that officers review available CCTV footage related to the incident.

In response, Investigating Officer Warrant Officer Phaladi Makola expressed frustration, telling the court: “Your worship, I think we have dealt with that aspect many times. I don’t know why the defence is repeating the same issue. It’s not going to change anything, because I’ve already explained that I should not be involved in their arrangements or agreements with other police officials.”
