Today marks the start of World Breastfeeding Week, observed annually from 1–7 August 2026, to raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and to encourage governments, healthcare providers, communities, employers, and families to protect, promote, and support every mother's breastfeeding journey.

💚 Career Day / Beroepsdag at DDKA 💚
Dit was vir my 'n groot voorreg om vandag die kleingoed te besoek en hulle meer te leer oor wat 'n apteker doen, medisyneveiligheid en basiese noodhulp. Baie dankie aan die skool vir die geleentheid!
It was such a privilege to spend the morning with these amazing little learners, teaching them about pharmacists, medicine safety and basic first aid. Thank you to the school for the wonderful opportunity!
Today, for Nelson Mandela Day, our team at Colleen Glen Pharmacy chose to give something incredibly valuable — hope. 💚
As part of our commitment to caring beyond medicine, we registered to become potential blood stem cell donors through "DKMS Africa"
A simple cheek swab could one day give someone battling blood cancer or another life-threatening blood disorder a second chance at life.
Nelson Mandela reminded us that what counts in life is the difference we make in the lives of others. This year, we chose to make that difference by joining the stem cell donor registry and encouraging others to consider doing the same.
Together, even the smallest act can create hope for a patient waiting for their match.
