I can be kind without being naive, forgiving without forgetting, and peaceful without letting anyone play with me.

One of the most frustrating things is watching someone create the situation, cross the line, and then somehow position themselves as the victim.

Accountability gets replaced with excuses, and suddenly you’re expected to defend yourself for reacting to what they caused.

Not every victim narrative tells the whole story. Sometimes the healthiest response is to step back, see the pattern for what it is, and stop explaining yourself to someone committed to misunderstanding you.

Don’t you hate it when you’re having a really tough day and someone says, “It could’ve been a lot worse”?

Yes… and it could’ve been a lot better too.

Sometimes we don’t need to be reminded that things could be worse. We need to acknowledge that today is hard, give ourselves permission to feel it, and focus on what could make things better.

Let’s focus on that. 🤍
