HOW TO GET THAT GLOWY SUMMER MAKEUP LOOK — WITHOUT LOOKING OILY!

Glowy skin starts before the makeup even goes on!

1. HYDRATE YOUR SKIN
Well-hydrated skin gives your makeup a smoother, healthier-looking finish. Start with a good moisturiser suited to your skin type and give it a few minutes to absorb.

2. LESS IS MORE
You don't need layers of foundation to achieve beautiful skin. Use a lightweight, buildable base and apply it where you actually need coverage.

3. ADD GLOW — DON'T ADD GREASE!
The secret to a beautiful glow is strategic placement. Think cheekbones, the bridge of the nose and just above the lips — rather than applying shimmer or glow all over the face.

4. ONE OF MY SUMMER FAVOURITES!
I absolutely love Essence Glow Drops for creating that fresh, radiant finish. Mix a small amount with your foundation or gently tap it onto the high points of the face for that gorgeous “lit from within” glow.

Inspiration vs. Reality...

A beautiful inspiration picture can be the perfect starting point for creating a hairstyle — but recreating a style isn’t always as simple as copying the picture.

For this look, I used the inspiration as a guide and created a version suited to my client’s own hair. (Photo 1- inspiration, Photo 2 - The outcome)

There are a few important factors that influence the final result:

* Hair colour – Colour affects how much definition, dimension and texture we see in the style.
* Hair texture – Fine, thick, straight, wavy or curly hair will all behave differently when styling.
* Hair length – The length and available weight of the hair can completely change the shape and placement of the style.
* Hair density – The amount of hair you have determines how full or structured the finished look can be.
* Face shape & proportions – Sometimes small adjustments are needed to make the style flattering for the individual.
* Condition of the hair – Healthy, workable hair gives us much more flexibility when creating texture and shape.

So while we can absolutely recreate the feel and key elements of an inspiration style, the finished result will always be uniquely adapted to your hair.

And honestly, that’s the beauty of hairstyling — it’s not about copying a picture, it’s about creating the best version of that look for YOU.
