CHAPTER 40 ✨

Well, hello 40. 👋🏼

I’d like to say I’m gracefully stepping into my 40s… but let’s be honest, I’m more likely to trip into them, laugh about it and carry on like nothing happened. 😂

I may be 40, but I still feel 25 — just with a different hair colour again, more life experience and a very impressive collection of lessons I didn’t sign up for… (or maybe I did). 😂

If my 20s taught me to care what people think, and my 30s taught me to stop caring…

My 40s are teaching me why the hell did I care in the first place? 😂

The biggest lesson I’ve learnt is this:

Life is too short to be anything other than unapologetically YOU.

Wear the outfit.
Take the trip.
Laugh too loudly.
Change your mind.
Say no without writing a 3-page explanation.
Love your people fiercely.
Walk away from what doesn’t feel right.
And for goodness sake… stop waiting for the “right time”.

Because there isn’t one.

There’s just now.

I’ve learnt that getting older isn’t about losing your youth — it’s about gaining perspective.
You realise that some things you thought were the end of the world… really weren’t.
That the people who matter will love you through every version of yourself.
That happiness is often found in the ordinary moments.
And that sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh at yourself and keep going.

So here’s to 40. 🥂

To the mistakes that made me wiser,
the people who made me laugh,
the ones who stayed,
the ones who left,
the lessons I didn’t ask for, but grateful to learn from it,
and all the adventures still waiting for me.

Chapter 40 — I have no idea what I’m doing, but apparently I’m doing it with confidence now. 😂

And honestly?

I think this might be my favourite chapter yet. ❤️✨

Looking forward to new doors opening and having my BFL husband and gorgeous kids holding my hands🙏🏻😘🩵🧚‍♀️💕🐞🦖🩵
