🚨 Everything you need to know about measles

Over the past few months, measles cases have been rising. This is a vaccine-preventable disease that we can't choose to ignore.

🚨What is measles?
It's a highly contagious viral illness caused by the Morbillivirus — and it spreads faster than you think. One infected person can pass it to 9 out of 10 unvaccinated people nearby.

🚨Watch for these signs:
High fever, runny nose, red eyes, a distinctive rash spreading from the face downward, and small white spots inside the mouth.

Left untreated, measles can lead to pneumonia, brain damage, hearing loss, and in some cases — death. Children and pregnant women are especially vulnerable

💉The good news?
Two doses of the vaccine are up to 97% effective. If you or your loved ones haven't been vaccinated, now is the time.

✅ Get vaccinated

✅ Wash your hands

✅ Stay home if you feel sick

✅ Call your doctor if you notice symptoms
