Once upon a long time ago I was taught, “stay low, go slow” when it came to bleaching and stripping colour from hair.
Then I arrived in South Africa where (for some hairdressers) make up their own rules.

Yet again a correction. The hair was box dyed black for 10 years and the client wanted to go lighter gradually.
We achieved soft caramel tones with a combination of baby lights and balayage, she went from ginger to caramel swirl.
