During laser tattoo removal, you may notice a white โfrostingโ effect appear on the tattoo straight after the laser passes over the skin. This is completely normal and is a good sign that the laser is reacting to the ink particles in the skin. The frosting usually fades within a few minutes after treatment.
Over the next few weeks, the body will naturally start flushing out the broken down ink particles and the tattoo will gradually begin to fade. Multiple sessions are usually needed for best results, depending on the tattoo, ink colours, and skin type.
