I have always had a fascination with a persons eyes - as the eyes are the window to the soul. Our eyes will always reflect the truth, when we fake that smile to hide the pain, that sparkle when we see the person we love, the softness and kindness when we look at our family...
They says that the beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart and the place where love resides.
My story begins in August 2019 when I was retrenched after 11 years with the company, which was mainly in the industrial sector. No words can describe what I felt when the letter was placed upon my desk. It was as if the earth was ripped away from under my feet, with an uncertainty of what the future will hold.
However, I found the strength and said to myself “you better dust yourself off, get dressed, make a cup of coffee and start thinking up solutions instead of dwelling on the problem”.
