Having your nails done during the winter months - what you need to know.

Cold hands and fingers, dry winter air, drinking less water than usual and using your hands more often all have an impact on your nails. Yes you heard me, your NAILS!

Cold hands and fingers have less blood supply meaning the amount of oxygen reaching your finger tips is less than normal, resulting in the natural nails to be much more dry.

Dry winter air lacks moisture meaning it dries out the natural nails more than usual, leaving your nails dehydrated and brittle. Use a good quality Cuticle oil on your cuticles as well us underneath the nail, on the natural nail itself.

In winter time we drink less water than in summer months, leaving our nails dehydrated, dry and brittle. Make it your mission to drink at least one glass of water extra each day.

And by using our hands more during winter times to complete simple tasks like pulling up our pants, putting on socks and shoes that require us to use our fingers and nails more than usual and tucking in our shirts, can also put alot more stress on the acrylic nails itself.

Absolutely loved doing this set of nails. Definitely obsessed with leopard print these days! 😀😉
