Our sweet Labrador puppy has officially joined the team at *Peak Wellness* as our in-training therapy dog! 🐶✨
While you receive your treatment on the massage table, Bear will be nearby, offering quiet comfort and unconditional puppy love. Studies show that animal presence can lower stress, reduce anxiety, and enhance the healing experience – and we couldn’t agree more.
Bear is still learning the ropes, so he’ll be gently supervised during sessions, always respecting your comfort level. If you’d prefer a pup-free session, just let us know. Otherwise, get ready for some extra tail-wags with your deep tissue! 🐕💆♀️

🔥 Unlock Tight Calves: Massage Gun + Active Release Technique 🔥
Tired of calf tightness that just won't quit? Whether you’re a runner, a desk dweller, or just on your feet all day, the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles can get locked up fast. Here’s how to release them at home using your massage gun and a little Active Release Technique (ART) magic.
Step 1: Find the spots
Point your toes slightly and feel for the dense, “knotty” areas in your calf – usually in the belly of the gastrocnemius (upper/mid calf) and deeper in the soleus (lower calf, closer to the Achilles).
Step 2: Massage gun first
With the gun on a medium speed, trace these areas in long, slow strokes for 30–60 seconds each. Keep the tissue warm and begin to “wake up” the knots.
Step 3: Add ART motion
While keeping the gun on the same spot, actively point and flex your foot – slowly and with control. This is the “active release” part: the muscle shortens and lengthens as the gun vibrates through the fibers. Repeat 10–15 times per spot.
Pro tip: Focus more on the soleus (lower calf) if you have Achilles or shin pain – that deep stabilizer loves to get grumpy.
✨ Result: Improved ankle mobility, less cramping, and a lighter stride.
