We hope you are all well and really look forward to seeing you now that finally, Personal care industries have been given the green light to operate once again.
It is unfortunately impossible to stick to our previous bookings as everyone is out of sync and compounded by the fact of the strict protocols that will not allow for the usual amount of clients to be in the salon at the same time. Therefore all bookings for the future with Odette will need to be rescheduled. Odette will be seeing to the Capetown clients as of 23 June and working in Pretoria from 8 till 16 July.

Dear Paradigm Guests
As promised to keep you updated regarding the trading limitations due to COVID-19, the current situation is as follows.

On the 1st of June 2020, a written response was dispatched by the Ministry to the EOHCB’s legal
representatives, amongst others, stating that:
• the relevant Department is in the process of drafting the necessary protocols and/or guidelines for the opening of business activities including hairdressing, beauty treatments, makeup, nailsalons, piercing and tattoo parlours for the resuming of these business operations;
• these protocols and/or guidelines are critical as they are intended to assist in the prevention of the spread of the virus as well as to protect the lives of both workers and their clients; and
• the Department is expected to finalise the protocols and guidelines by the end of this week.


However, it is evident that the protocols and/or guidelines are enjoying Government’s urgent attention and will, once made available, allow personal care services to resume under alert level 3, subject to the implementation and ex*****on of these protocols and/or guidelines.

Odette is scheduled to travel to Pretoria this weekend as the property needs attention and thus should the outcome of the aforementioned submission be successful she will be able to officially resume work from Monday the 8th of June.

We will give you an update then hopefully by Friday regarding this outcome!

We trust that you are well and safe and as anxious as us to start ‘normal life’ again albeit the ‘new normal’ touted by all.

Our industry leaders have joined the list of taking government to court to allow operations to continue from level 3 and not only as currently determined only by level 1.
This case is set for 27 May and we will notify you the very moment we have results or more clarity regarding that situation.

For any emergencies you might have please contact us so we can try to assist you as best we can.
Please keep in mind that our Pretoria branch will be open every Friday for retail sales.

The Pretoria branch will be open this Friday 8 May for retail only from 10:00-14:00.

The current projection for Services provided by our industry is set to resume only by Level 1 of the extended Lockdown.
A plea to Government for earlier trade has been submitted by the major role players and suppliers of our industry to argue for an earlier trade restart, so we remain hopeful that this will succeed.
We regret that we will not be able to do any home calls or secret salon visits. This has been implicitly stated as unlawful. Even though we desperately want to assist you, we believe in approaching this firstly in an ethical and honest manner and in contributing to the solution of the COVID-19 problem rather than putting lives at risk (yours, our own and our country’s).
The legal ramifications of breaking this law is almost beyond belief. Fines of up to R200 000 per involved individual (stylist and client), the confiscation of all stock and equipment, prohibition of further trading and a criminal record have already been dealt to transgressors of this crime.
We trust that you understand, respect and support our decision and ethics regarding this matter.
We have received our Essential services permit to trade and deliver products. Our current services have been updated and are supported by Youtube instructionals and include Ladies& Gents cuts, Styling and more. Please contact your stylist for full information and advice and before you submit to the temptation of off-the-shelf colour options…
We are working on an emergency DIY colour solution, for further information please contact us telephonically.
We have had tremendous success with our services provided via video calls, retailing via non-contact methods and home deliveries by our suppliers.
Collection dates and times for the purchasing of retail products will be provided when you order.
As we’re all currently overloaded with information we will strive to only provide you with the necessary and useful information. Please be so kind to share it with your fellow Paradigm friends who might not be using a social media platform.
