I recently experienced a rather concerning rash on my chest and, while trying to treat it myself at home, dear Anna gifted me the most beautiful facial and massage experience at her stunning new spa, Gold, in Bloubergstrand. Honestly, the timing could not have been more divine.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. Even though it was a chilly Cape Town day, the spa itself felt like stepping into a warm cocoon. The treatment rooms were cozy, calming, and beautifully prepared.

My facialist, Dominique, was exceptional. What I appreciated most was the time she took with me before we even began. Her pre-consultation was thoughtful, attentive, and deeply informative. And afterwards, she didn’t simply send me on my way. She shared genuine tips, tricks, shortcuts, and little pearls of wisdom for women that made me feel both cared for and empowered.

My treatment included a deep cleanse, steam to open the pores, exfoliation, extractions, high frequency sterilisation, a face and décolleté massage, a purifying mask, and moisturiser to finish. My skin felt renewed afterwards. She also reshaped my eyebrows, which was an unexpected bonus, and I’m convinced she quietly stole a few years off my face in the process. I have genuinely never loved my brows more.

Then Bernadette came in and gave me the most heavenly back massage and Indian head massage. Somewhere between the shoulder tension leaving my body and my soul briefly floating above the massage bed, I forgot every stress I arrived with. I walked out feeling lighter, calmer, and completely restored.

And the most incredible part? The rash on my chest has completely cleared. My décolletage and face are glowing, clearer, tighter, and more toned than they’ve looked in ages.

Thank you, Anna, Dominique, and Bernadette, for such a deeply nurturing experience. Gold is not just a spa, it feels like a sanctuary. I cannot recommend it highly enough. ✨Jolene
