While it's also no secret that men seek out cosmetic procedures just like women these days , we don't typically consider how different men's procedures are from women's. It turns out, anti-aging procedures are not a one-size-fits-all approach to a more youthful face. The American Academy of Dermatology says that the distinct variances between menโs and womenโs skin biology, facial anatomy and ageing process play a huge role as to why genders have different kinds of rejuvenation needs. Skin resurfacing with chemical peels, microdermabrasion or laser devices is also most useful to men as they are typically more exposed to the sun and its damaging effects than women because of short hairstyles, balding scalps, outdoor occupations and outdoor hobbies. The Rhino Run ๐ kicks off this weekend and, as promised, here's our skin in the game.
Tanya Gafney, therapist at Nel Skin Care Clinic, and her partner Ross Veenstra, the two we're sponsoring in this year's Rhino Run.
They've trained hard for months, and this Saturday they take on the trails at Manyoni Private Game Reserve, running in kit marking 20 years of Nel Skin Care Clinic, in support of the Zululand Conservation Trust.

For the past 7 years, our very own Tanya Maingard has helped manage a community game reserve in Zululand. Her work there spans tourism, collaring lions, and dehorning rhinos, right through to funding the raising of an orphaned baby rhino calf.
That kind of commitment is why Nel Skin Care Clinic is proud to sponsor two of our own in this year's Rhino Run on 24 July, in support of the Zululand Conservation Trust.
