We are passionate about helping you to achieve a healthy, clear and youthful looking skin. We offer services in medical dermatology looking at conditions such as acne , hair loss, pigmentation, psoriasis, eczema and infections among others. With the skin cancer incidence on the rise we also offer thorough skin cancer screening and excision of minor lesions, As Prevention is better that cure. We offer skin care for the entire family. Our rooms are situated in an easily accessible and wheelchair friendly medical centre opposite the Umhlanga hospital, in very close proximity to the Gateway shopping centre. There is plenty of onsite parking and security.

Often people come to the office requesting a specific treatment meanwhile it’s not the best thing for them. The trick is knowing what you’re looking at in order to choose the right treatment.
Watch the video as my other self and I try to breakdown the treatments I would consider for each concern. 😂 Because apparently having one Dr Cebi in a video was not enough.
Spoiler alert: these treatments are not one-size-fits-all. It’s always best to get a proper assessment before you decide what it needs.
And please remember, the goal is not to do every treatment available. It is to do what is appropriate for your skin, at the right time, for the right reason.

Urticaria, or hives, can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you don't know what's causing it. 🌸
There are also plenty of misconceptions around it. Urticaria is not always caused by an allergy, it isn't contagious, and in many cases, there isn't one obvious trigger that you can simply avoid.
Hives cannot always be cured but can be managed, the first step is trying to find a cause.

Little skin needs little extra care, especially when eczema is involved. 🛁🌿
If your child has eczema-prone skin, these simple bath-time habits can help protect their skin barrier and reduce irritation:
💧 Keep water lukewarm Hot water can dry and irritate sensitive skin.
🧼 Choose gentle, hydrating liquid cleansers Avoid harsh, stripping soaps that can disrupt the skin barrier.
⏱️ Keep baths short Long baths can contribute to dryness, even when the water isn't hot.
🫧 Skip the bubble bath It may be fun, but fragranced products can irritate eczema-prone skin.
🚫 No scrubbing or exfoliating Eczema doesn't need to be scrubbed away. Gentle is the way to go.
🧴 Lock in moisture Apply a rich, suitable moisturiser soon after bathing while the skin is still slightly damp.
And one important reminder: aqueous cream is not a moisturiser. It is a wash-off cleanser and can contain ingredients that may irritate some eczema-prone skin.
Eczema can be challenging, especially in little ones, but thoughtful daily care can make a meaningful difference. If your child's eczema is persistent, severe or difficult to manage, a dermatologist can help you find the right treatment plan. 🩷

Heritage Day is a beautiful reminder of where we come from, the people who shaped us, the traditions we carry and the stories that continue through us.
For me, being proudly Zulu makoti is part of who I am. It is in the language, the culture, the values, the family, the resilience and, of course, the regalia. Because sometimes you need to dress the part and remind everyone that the girl in the lab coat has a little bit of isiZulu magic in her too. 😂
I am grateful for the heritage that raised me, those who came before me and the generations who will carry these stories forward.
Today, we celebrate the richness of who we are and the beautiful diversity that makes South Africa home.

Some of the harshest truths about skin and hair are also the ones we need to hear most. 🩷
There is so much pressure to believe that every skin or hair concern can be fixed if we just find the right product, follow the perfect routine or make the right lifestyle changes.
But the reality is much more nuanced.
Good skin and hair care is not about chasing perfection. It is about understanding what is actually happening and choosing the right approach for your individual needs.
Sometimes the most helpful thing I can tell my patients is not what they want to hear, but what they need to know. 🩷

NO WOMAN SHOULD LIVE IN FEAR. 🖤
There is so much happening in South Africa right now, and as women, it is deeply distressing to watch and a cause for anxiety 🥹
