The reality of going lighter, even on professionally coloured hair.

Permanent colour doesn’t “fade out”… it stains the hair shaft and sits deep in the cortex. That means when we want to go lighter, colour alone won’t lift colour.

🔬 What actually happens:
• Permanent colour = artificial pigment locked inside the hair
• To go lighter = we must break down that pigment
• Bleach works by oxidising and removing both natural + artificial colour
• Multiple sessions are often needed to protect hair integrity
