How's your journey going?

Me, I am reminding myself why I started taking care of my natural hair in the first place.

Revisiting the goals I set for my healthy hair journey and overall just embracing the hair that grows out of my head, cause I was recently in a dislike stage with my natural hair. I couldn't find the zeal to take care of it or take my natural hair journey seriously. So, I am actively realizing that keeping natural hair isn't difficult, it's just a lot of work.

I must actively put in the work to see results even when I don't want to.😌

Just took down a 4week old Box Braid Protective Style

The photo on the right shows what my hair looks like during a Pre-poo as I prep my hair for wash day.

I used water and olive oil as a Pre-poo and put my hair in fikuti (mini braids), to prevent my hair from being stripped of moisture even as I get ready to shampoo it.

Today is Day 8/31, and I am excited🎉💃.

Just a quick reminder:

I know many are discouraged about keeping their natural hair for very long or at all, because they have concluded or found it to be too much work or high maintenance......
....And actually I Agree.....
.....But because we are being honest, most things worthwhile take effort in order to see results. Everything that's worth results is a lot of work. So its up to you to put in the work to see the results you want....
...And this does not only applies to hair but also life. We must put in effort towards that thing we want results in, and be amazed?😃🌹

Placed my hair in mini braids to make this challenge a little easier....Though the challenge can work whether your hair is out or not.

My hair has been thinning from excess combing for close to 2 months, So the aim of the challenge is to retain and increase my hair volume.😃

Good morning Naturals & Happy New Month!💕

A short Hair Update for you.

Did a Blow out on my hair for the first time this year and I am so happy with the results. The blow out didn't last more than 3 days though😂. Oh well, I have my own theories about this.

Next I am thinking of actually straightening my hair, so I could do a proper length check.

🌹Tip of the day🌹

Heat is not the enemy, too much heat is. There is nothing wrong with applying heat to your hair once in a while. Its good to change things up a little.
