PCOS is Polycystic ovarian syndrome which is a hormone imbalance—but it starts with a metabolic mess.

At the root? Insulin resistance. Here’s how it spirals:

1. Overfeeding which has been going on for a long period of time -> More glucose ( blood sugar) in the blood.

2. More blood sugar -> more blood insulin

3. More blood insulin -> Too much free rooming insulin in blood which makes the cells to start resisting insulin. This one INSULIN RESISTANCE.

4. Insulin resistance -> pancreas pumps out more insulin to keep blood sugar normal

5. Excess insulin stimulates the ovaries to produce more androgens (like testosterone)

6. High androgens -> acne, facial hair, hair loss, irregular periods

7. Insulin also suppresses ovulation, causing infertility . Because if you can't ovulate there can't be an egg to meet with a s***m cell to cause pregnancy.

8. Meanwhile, weight gain worsens insulin resistance—and the cycle continues

The kicker?

Many women are told it’s “genetic” or they’re just “unlucky.”

Then they’re offered birth control contraceptives which disturb the body natural hormonal mechanisms further or metformin which bring in other side effects—without ever being told that diet and lifestyle can reverse it.

You can break the cycle:

– Fix your diet.
– Lift weights to improve insulin sensitivity.
– Sleep, de-stress, and move daily

PCOS is reversible.

You don’t need to manage it forever with metformin of this world.

You can heal it by fixing the root which is driven by your food choices and the level of activity in your life.
