Skincare and acne treatments don’t cure acne and they don’t stop the factors that cause acne in the first place. They just control these factors to keep the breakouts at bay.

Acne is generally caused by excess oil, dead skin cells and acne-causing bacteria within our pores.

Skincare works by reducing oil and bacteria, and helps keep the pores clear of dead skin cells. But what it won’t do is change the way your skin behaves. If you stop, the pores get affected again so the pimples make a comeback.

Taking care of your skin is a whole lifestyle and not just a phase or quick fix. You can cut back on the frequency of using products. For example, a salicylic acid toner you used twice can be brought down to once or every other day, but they still have to be part of your routine.

3 REASONS WHY YOU DON’T GO TO BED WITH MAKEUP ON

1. You need that collagen!
