Let's say you woke up with a terrible cough, a fever, and severe body aches. Immediately, you rush to the doctor and unfortunately, you’re diagnosed with COVID-19.

For the last two weeks, you’ve been unaware that you were infected and you’ve ignored "the common rules."

You've gotten together with some close friends for pizza, had a few people over, even visited a park and a beach. You figured, “I'm not sick, I feel healthy and I have a good immune system. I have the right to keep living my normal life. No one can tell me what to do."

Assalamu Alaykum. My family have recently recovered from COVID-19 and these are the remedies we've made use of:

My mum’s COVID-19 immune boosters, cough and Asthma cures. If you do not have some of the items in this message, simply continue using whatever you can obtain.

Remedy 1:
As a cough mixture:

Ingredients:
2 whole onions
4 bottles raw (drinkable) linseed oil
1 bottle Lennon’s cough Mixture (see pic Below)
4 bottles DutchLennon's Borsdrupples
4 bottles Dutch Lennon's Turlington
4 bottles Dutch Lennon's Witdilsies
1 whole fresh Nutmeg (grated)
1 spoon Ginger powder
4 x 500g Honey

Method:
- Soak 2 whole onions into the honey and leave for 2/3 days to completely soak.
- Then pour mixture through a siff , squeeze out nicely and discard the onions.
- Now add all the other ingredients to the honey/onion mixture.

When mixing: read durood, and shifa(cure) duaas. Ask of Allah's permission to put a cure into it.

Also read "salaamun qawlam mirrabbir Rahim"
When making it and when drinking it. Cure is ultimately in the hands of Almighty Allah. Medicine is only a means through which He grants cure.

Dosage:
Take 3 tablespoons at night and a few tablespoons throughout the day depending on the severity of the cough.

We've been drinking this to cure coughs for a few years now. Alhamdulillah.

Remedy 2:
To be drank hot as an infection fighter immune booster:
Most of these can be found at Indian fruit or spice shops.

Ingredients (makes 1 medium size pot. Drink 1 cup 3 times a day. Add the ginger ale and optional Aspirin tablet to each cup when drinking):

-2x Large Lemons (or equivalent amount in small ones)
-2x Large Oranges
-3x pieces of Turmeric root (preferably freshly chopped pieces or 4 tablespoons of the powder from a spice shop)
-Cancer Bush plant leaves - equivalent to leaves from 3 branches of the plant
- A handful of cinnamon sticks (Taj) (or 4 Tablespoons cinnamon powder if no sticks are available)
- A few Cloves
- A handful of Elachi (cardomom pods)
- 2x Fresh ginger roots (chopped) (or 4 Tablespoons powdered ginger if no fresh ginger is available)
- 2x Star Anise
- 7x black pepper corns

Method:

Boil the above ingredients until the water changes into a deep yellowish color and the water level drops a little.

Dosage:
1 cup 3 times daily.
To each cup, after boiling the items above, Add: (do not boil these items below)

- 2l Ginger Ale (add a quarter cup to each cup you drink)
- 1x Disprin for each cup (optional ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT ALLERGIC to Aspirin)

Optional: We have leaves that grow on a type of a lemon plant in our garden that we boil with the above recipe... Alhumdullillah it really helps.
Someone at a local nursery recommended we buy it for flu remedies many years ago and we noticed that it's effective...

Remedy 3:
To be used as immune boosters. Increase frequency if infected.

- Pure Black Seed Oil (1/2 teaspoon 3 times a day)
- Pure honey ( take a few tablespoons with warm water throughout the day.
- Colloidal silver mouth spray.
- A. Vogel Echina Force Echinacea drops (effective for sore throat and throat infections)
- Oliveleaf extract drops
- Vitamin D3
- Vitamin C
- Zinc
- Lennon's Cough mixture with Guaiphenesin

These vitamins and herbal products are very important..
You must use them often as they build your immune system...

1 - ROSELLA AND STEVIA SHRUB.
Shrubs are traditional Cool drink concentrates made with herbs, or spices or fruit with Vinegar added on. The Vinegar was used as a preservative as well as add taste to the drink concentrate. This is how diluted drinks or Cordial was made in the Old days. Shrubs have origins in England.

Traditionally to make a Shrub drink first a syrup is made with a combination of sugar and herb or spice. Fruit can be used instead of Spices and Herbs or even do a combination of the two. Once the syrup is made Cool it down, then add Vinegar and store. To make a drink simply dilute with drinking water to taste just like a normal concentrate. Mint and Cloves are commonly used to make a Shrub syrup.

Try this Shrub which has been modified and uses less sugar as the syrup is made with a combination of Stevia Leaf and brown sugar. This Shrub drink also uses Rosella tea with Four Seasons Red Wine Vinegar. To make the concentration stronger, by double ingredients except the water, so we get more drinks out of it.

TO MAKE 1 LITRE OF THE DRINK DILUTED
INGREDIENTS
500ml water
1 Rosella tea bag
1 level Teaspoon Stevia Leaf
4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Four Seasons Red Wine Vinegar

DIRECTIONS
1 - In a pot with 500ml water, add Stevia, Rosella tea bag and Sugar and bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling take it off the heat and leave it cool down, covered.
2 - When it’s cool add Vinegar.
3 - Dilute this with 500 ml cold drinking water and pour into a jug and place in the fridge to cool down and enjoy with Ice.

*In place of Rosella tea you can try this Shrub with Cloves or Mint.

2 - COLD BREWED GINGER ICED BLACK TEA

Ginger: anti-inflammatory, supports digestion, helps with motion sickness, reduces pain, rich in antioxidants, boosts immune system.
Ginger has plentiful health benefits and you're sure to enjoy it in this Iced tea

RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2 or more Teaspoons Four Seasons Fresh Minced Ginger
3 Tablespoons loose black tea leaves
4 Tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to your taste, you can use Honey, Stevia or combination)
1 Litre Cold drinking water

* Add some lemon juice to make your Ginger Iced tea Lemon flavoured.

DIRECTIONS
Mix all the ingredients in a jar with a lid and stir. Put the lid on and leave on the counter for about 6 hours or longer until all the residue settles on the bottom of the bottle. Refrigerate and keep it ready to enjoy with some ice.

3 - FOUR SEASONS FOODS FRESH MINCED GINGER LEMONADE
Combine Ginger and Lemons to make Ginger lemonade. Adding to Ginger benefits It’s packed full of Vitamin C, healthy, refreshing and delicious. Adjust the ingredient quantities to taste.

TO MAKE MAKE 1 LITRE
INGREDIENTS
1 Teaspoon Four Seasons Foods Fresh Minced Ginger
Juice from 4 lemons
1 Litre drinking water
Sweetener of your choice to your taste

DIRECTIONS
Combine all the ingredients in a container and mix well. Place in the fridge to chill and enjoy served with extra Ice.
* Add juice from Oranges to add more Citrus flavour.

4 - ICED TURMERIC GINGER AND APPLE GREEN TEA COOLER

TURMERIC : The active ingredient in Turmeric known as Curcumin, boosts the body's antioxidant levels. Turmeric has also been shown to inhibit fungal growth.
GREEN TEA, APPLES AND LEMONS : Green tea is known for being a powerful Antioxidant while Apples and Lemons as well as Ginger are great sources of Vitamin C among other benefits

This Iced tea tonic full of goodness with powerful medicinal properties, as well as refreshingly easy to drink.

HOW TO MAKE ABOUT 1 LITRE
INGREDIENTS
¾ a Teaspoon Four Seasons Foods Turmeric Powder
2 Green Tea Bags
1 Teaspoon Four Seasons Foods Minced Ginger
1 large Apple, grated
2 Tablespoons Lemon juice
3 Tablespoons Honey or other sweetener of your choice( adjust to taste)
Ice

DIRECTIONS
1 - Bring 500 ml of water to a boil and take it off the heat and steep the Green tea, Turmeric, Ginger and grated apple
2 - Leave it to sit until it starts to cool down then add in 500ml of cold water and mix.
3 - Strain off the tea bags, ginger and grated apples.
4 - Add in the Lemon juice and honey and mix well then place in the fridge ready to serve with some ice.

5 - FOUR SEASONS FOODS CINNAMON APPLE CIDER JUICE RECIPE

CINNAMON : This aromatic spice is a rich source of antioxidants that give a boost to the immune system. It has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties that are said to help reduce the chances of respiratory diseases and seasonal infections.

Try this non alcoholic Apple Cider juice. It is similar to Apple juice but has more flavour as it contains Cinnamon and Cloves. To get extra Apple flavours use a combination of different Apple varieties, like Golden Delicious or Granny Smith. Double the quantities of this recipe to make a larger batch.

RECIPE
Makes about 6 servings

INGREDIENTS
4 Apples, mixed variety
1 Teaspoon Four Seasons Foods Cinnamon powder
6 Four Seasons Foods Whole Cloves
5 Tablespoons Brown Sugar or Honey (adjust to your taste)
2 Tablespoons Apple Cider vinegar (you can use White Wine Vinegar )
8 Cups of water

DIRECTIONS
1 - Wash and dice Apples.
2 - In a big pot with a lid add all the ingredients and bring the pot to a boil. Once the pot starts to boil reduce the heat to low and cook at low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
3 - Once it's cooked take it off the heat and leave it to cool down totally before straining off the apples, cloves and cinnamon residue.
4 - Mash the cooked apples and strain off with a sieve or muslin cloth to get extra juice or simply mash and save for topping your porridge or have as they are.
4 - Place the Cider in the fridge to chill ready to drink.

6 - MULLED WINE SPICE ICE TEA WITH BROWN SUGAR AND APPLES
This Ice Tea is tasty and refreshing with a great combination of flavours of Cinnamon, Star Anise and Cloves from which are part of the Spice combination that makes Mulled Wine Spice. These Spices are said to be good for the Immune system and are Anti Viral, Antibacterial
Combine that with Brown sugar and Apples and you get a delicious Spicy drink which is good for health.

INGREDIENTS
4 Cups cold drinking water.
2 Four Seasons Mulled Wine Spice tea bag
1 and ½ to 2 teaspoons black tea leaves
1 Apple cut into slices
Other optional fruit add ons like fresh or frozen strawberries, raspberries or other berries (extra flavour if you have them handy plus Vitamin C rich)
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar ( adjust to your taste )
Large jar with a lid for brewing your ice tea.

Directions
Boil 1 cup of water and brew your black tea strong, in a cup for about 3 to 5 minutes or longer, as it cools down.
Using a sieve strain the leaves away.
Add 3 cups cold water to your jar and add the brewed, cooled cup of black tea.
Add the Mulled spice tea bags and brown sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add in the sliced apples as well as the berries if you have them and then cover the jar with a lid.
Place the ice tea in a cool place on the counter and leave it cold brew overnight.
In the morning place it in the fridge ready to serve.
Serve with ice to dilute the Ice tea a bit as it will be a bit concentrated, as well as apple slices from the brewed tea.

Did you know that the Persian scholar of medicine, Ibn Sina (980-1037) suspected that some diseases were spread by microorganisms? To prevent human-to-human contamination, he came up with the method of isolating people for 40 days. He called this method al-Arba'iniya ("the forty").

Traders from Venice heard of his successful method and took this knowledge back to contemporary Italy. They called it "quarantena" ("the forty" in Italian). This is where the word "quarantine" comes from. The origin of the methods currently being used in much of the world to fight pandemics have their origins in the Islamic world.

Allah says in the Quran: "Who saves one human life, it is as if he has saved all mankind" (5:32). Even today Ibn Sina's method saves thousands, perhaps millions, of lives. Ma sha Allah, that is another legacy filled with barakah!

Note: Ibn Sina's full name was Abu Ali Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah Ibn Sina. In the west he is also known by the Latin version of his name: Avicenna.
