Story Time (Picture for attention)

I had a client come to me with potential allergens to hair color and it was crucial to continue grey coverage for this gal… I mean… guuuuuurl same; this was one of the turning points in my career.

I’m a huge advocate for promoting health and wellness from the inside out so I had already done a deep dive in using products more along the line of not causing harm to people’s hormones or products with potential allergens. My theory was “yes a chemical service cannot be completely chemical free but I definitely don’t want people using harmful products every day!”

Back to this client… I had to find a chemical process that was similar to my mantra to wellness for my clients. I did a huge deep dive and was almost completely hopeless being in my industry until I found a color line that is an oil based delivery system and completely ammonia free (even their hair lightener is oil based lightening!). Although I could not find any professional coloring system that was completely PPD free, I did learn that most of people’s allergens are coming from the developers used vs the actual color (disclaimer: I’m sure people are still actually allergic to color but this is a rarity).

I am happy to report after the switch this wonderful gal has no problems with her color applications and can enjoy her services like before and using safer and gentler products keeps me healthy to do your hair for a long time 🫶🏻

It’s blonding season…my FAVORITE time of the year 💛
This gal gets her blonding done 1x a year so it was important to me to give her a high impact contrast with soft blended roots for a beautiful, natural grow out with no harsh line of demarcation.

Ginger is a color that is always on trend 🧡

Lived in color is where it’s at!
Low maintenance and natural color is what I do best.
(Fun fact… this appointment we only touched up greys but I am obsessed with what this color has turned into. We only have to add brightness every few appointments).
With K-18 molecular bond builder every color we have maintained beautiful color and she had added so much length from when we started 🤩
