Spring in the 307 means we finally get some sun, but we also get that fun combination of wind, lingering dry air, and sudden snow showers. It can make hair day a guessing game.
Here is how we are prepping our hair for the mountain springtime:
💧 HYDRATE (Still). Just because the snow is melting doesn't mean the static is gone. Wyoming air is dry year-round. Swap to a slightly lighter moisturizing conditioner, but keep that leave-in treatment in rotation.
☀️ UV PROTECTION. The sun is getting stronger, especially at altitude. If you are starting to spend more time hiking, your scalp and your color need protection. Use products with UV filters or wear a hat (we love a good rancher hat aesthetic anyway 🤠).
🌬️ WINDPROOF YOUR STYLE. Loose waves are beautiful, but 'Wyoming Breezes' are intense. If you're heading out, consider a chic braid or a low pony. It keeps your hair contained and prevents major tangles and breakage from the wind.
